We are delighted to host our records club night at The Bow Lane Social Club connected to the GalleryX exhibition "Who'll Care Who'll Even Remember?" In Memoriam John Balance.
Who'll Care Who'll Even Remember? marks the 20th anniversary of the premature death of John Balance founder of the pioneering band Coil and one of the most uncompromising influential and revered musicians of the late 20th century.
The exhibition focuses on two aspects: archival and contemporary.
The archival section contains art and ephemera by John Balance and his influences such as Austin Osman Spare. The contemporary section includes works by John Balance's friends and collaborators including Steven Stapleton Adi Newton and Drew Mulholland as well as artists who have been influenced by John's life and work. it's on GalleryX from the 14th of November until the 21st of December.
We invited the curators to bring that atmosphere with us at the Bow Lane! We will listen to a lot of John Balance's works as Coil but also collaborations as Nurse with Wound Death in June Psychic TV Current 93 Chris & Cosey Thighpaulsandra and bands influenced and from the same music scene.
See you at The Bow Lane Social Club.
