COVID continued to hit over the all year with only a few little breaks but nothing compared with what we ever wished. We will present a special Berlin based pop art band called SushiOverdose formed during one of the lockdowns. They are not a typical band but we definitely would describe them better in all caps as "ATYPICAL". SushiOverdose revisits both the music, the lyrics, and the visual concept of the videos of major hits of the 80s, which range from synthpop to Italodisco. Their music turns all-around a single concept they describe with the Italian word "DISAGIO", not too easy to translate in English but we can picture it with that social awkwardness makes you feel uncomfortable in all contexts. It's the reason why they have chosen to take the opposite path by revisiting old trash hits from the 80s.
We also love to share and spread their Xmas gift to the world.
Their live exhibitions are something in between stand-up comedy shows and .. well Karaoke? ah ah. Their playlist is something that deeply gave us that feeling of "DISAGIO" which we are happy to share with you! because these kinds of feelings are dangerous to keep only for ourselves, and because at the end you enter in that chilling mood that makes you say "FUCK IT, IT'S GRAND! LET'S JUST EMBRACE IT AND HAVE FUN".
Enjoy and tell us how you feel!
