Unruly Girls is a duo project from Benevento, Italy. Luigi Limongelli and Humbert Alison work close together in composing, producing, and recording in their studio. Anyway, Humbert is the one bringing everything to the crowds as a one-man show.
"Unruly boys who will not grow up must be taken in hand, Unruly Girls who will not settle down they must be taken in hand" (Morrissey)
The band's name is inspired by The Smith's song: Barbarism Begins at Home and it's at home where their debut album "Cruel Tales" was recorded and released in 2017. Irony and ambivalence are the basic ingredients of their music. In 2020 they released a new single called "She Grew Up In A Shotgun Row". In the between years they totalized 100s of concerts with tours mainly focused on Italian and European cities.
The pandemic forced everybody to stay at home which for them is the place where the creativity starts, so in April 2020 their recent album "Epidemic" was released for newborn Dirty Beach Recs. The sound is darker, charged with emotions and psychological nuances.
We got the chance to ask them to prepare a playlist to share with YOU! It's a great selection of influences and the music they love.
