Dublin-based DIY art rock band Fosfín (Irish word for phosphine) released their debut EP, ‘Mutant’, on January 25th 2025. The band was founded by Brazilian musician Paula Moura.
In 2023, Paula teamed up with drummer and percussionist Meg Bruce (Tone Deaf, Gag Reflex, Shark School) to record ‘Mutant’, which was mixed by Jye O'Sullivan and mastered by Mike Montgomery (R.Ring, Ampline, Nervous Verbs) at Candyland Recording Studio.
The four track EP reflects the fusing of ideas alongside the desire for different soundscapes to reflect the individual subject matter of each track.
As of December 2024, Fosfín’s current lineup features Carleigh “Cee" Jenna on drums (Witchkicker, The Gaslighters), Anca Ioana on bass (Scavengerbird, Bethany Plaxton), and Paula Moura on vocals and guitar. Now operating as a three-piece, the band has been rehearsing, writing new material, and gearing up for touring in 2025.
Our friend Cee Jenna made it happen to have a fantastic playlist with a selection of their favourites.
Enjoy!
