Rome based Moonglasses are Enrico Ambroselli (vocals, guitar), Enrico Vezza (bass), Francesco Borrelli (drums, vocals), Pasquale Lello (synthesizers), and Nardonz (guitar, synthesizer, piano, vocals).
Their sound resists strict definition, moving across different genres while maintaining a balance between alternative rock and psychedelic influences.
The project was formed in 2022 following the post-COVID reunion of Nameless, a historic psychedelic grunge band active in the local scene during the 1990s. In 2023, the group evolved its identity and sonic direction with the introduction of synthesizers, reaching a more complete and defined lineup in 2025 with the addition of a second guitar, piano, and richer sonic layering.
In 2024, Moonglasses began performing live at various concerts and local events across southern Lazio and the province of Latina. At the end of the year, they entered the studio with Alessandro Saltarelli at Black Light Project rehearsal studio to record their debut EP, boys we were, released in January 2026.
The EP, named after the title track, represents the emotional core of the project: a clear-eyed and melancholic reflection on who we once were, shaped by time and experience.
They collectively prepared a playlist for YOU! :)
