OUTRAGE is a project created in April 2022 by Alberto Tieri (Silken Barb, Shibari), a composer and singer active in independent music since the late 1990s, and involved in numerous projects in the alternative scene, both Italian and international.
OUTRAGE music reflects the desire to give voice to an urgent expressive impulse, beyond all genre limits, by absorbing and crossing over the most disparate and heterogeneous sounds and cultural suggestions.
Post-rock, psychedelia, blues, jazz, electronics, and folk songwriting are just some of the musical landscapes inhabited by Outrage. With so many different influences, the project refuses to be trapped in the constraints of definitions and constantly reshapes itself trying to escape any possible stylistic stereotype. It could be compared to an always open palette, where, according to the ever-changing expressive needs, new and old colours are relentlessly experimented and combined: the overall working method is total flexibility, meaning the absolute freedom of changing the game rules if the artists feel like it.
Sound takes over, defines the tales’ animated trajectory, and unwraps a main narrative thread from the polyphonic, alienating wall of music that envelops it.
In 2023, Seahorse Recording officially released their debut album “Everybody is Bad in Someone's Story”, produced and co-arranged by Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera, Ostara's Bless and The Big Self). Their second studio album, “Morality Play”, which will feature collaborations with Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator, Faust) and Fixx (Dana Plato), is scheduled for release in 2024.
